The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently visiting the Fernie two Local community Hall in Mpuluzi to render providers to the community.

SASSA will be rendering solutions for example new social grant applications, change of payment method, client treatment enquiries, together with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a press release, the agency said it's alarmed about the higher quantity of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The goal with the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to some large variety of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is due to the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no absolutely functional office devoted to service the area on a daily sassa basis. The service point established for intervention activities a significant influx of potential beneficiaries, that makes it complicated to the office to attend to all people who visit a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise more assets to allow website the servicing read more of all prospects and raise use of Social Assistance companies,” the agency said.
